More than 200 people were arrested at Coachella over the two weekends of partying in the desert, cops have revealed.
Indio Police Department said 106 were detained alone on the second weekend, mostly tied to drug crimes, DUIs, fake IDs and trespassing.
Authorities also issued 87 citations for disabled parking placards, most for improper or fraudulent use, NBC reported.
Adding to the crackdown, the city of Indio slapped festival operator Goldenvoice with curfew fines during the second weekend.
Under the city’s agreement with organizers, any performance past the 1 a.m. curfew triggers a $20,000 penalty plus $1,000 for every minute beyond five minutes past the cutoff.
Curfew fines for the weekend soared to $44,000.
Electronic artist Anima racked up a $24,000 penalty for playing until 1:09 a.m. Saturday, while Justin Bieber’s early Sunday set cost him $20,000 for running just two minutes late.
City officials pointed out that the first weekend passed without a single fine, making the second weekend’s stricter enforcement stand out even more.
