Sherrone Moore and wife list mansion for $1.7 million after disgraced coach’s Michigan affair scandal

Disgraced former Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore is hoping to sell his home near the university for $1.7 million, according to a listing on Realtor.com.

Moore, who was fired in December for engaging in an inappropriate relationship with his executive assistant Paige Shriver, was sentenced to 18 months’ probation and spared jail time after pleading no contest to two misdemeanor charges.

The charges stem from Moore’s actions after his firing, when he allegedly drove to Shriver’s home, forced entry and threatened to kill himself with a butter knife and scissors in retaliation for his mistress trying to end the longtime affair and disclosing their relationship to school officials.

Moore’s wife, Kelli, wrote a letter to the judge asking for leniency in sentencing and declaring that she plans to remain in the marriage.

“The person who is saving you from the full wrath of this court is the person who you betrayed,” Judge Cedric Simpson reportedly said during sentencing.

Well, the Moores appear to be moving.  

The Detroit News identified a 5,856-square-foot mansion on Walnut Ridge Drive as belonging to Moore. It includes five bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, a three-car garage and a half-acre of property. Built in 2005, the home was last sold for $1.3 million in 2023, per the report.

The real-estate listing describes the home as “perfectly positioned on a premium lot with serene pond, pool with hot tub, and wooded views.” More than $300,000 in recent improvements added three contemporary fireplaces, “a spa-inspired bathroom with heated floors, a bubble massage tub, and Jacuzzi, while the Jack & Jill bath also features heated floors for added comfort.”

It is unclear where the Moores plan to move, but it will be difficult for Sherrone – a longtime Jim Harbaugh assistant – to get another job in coaching.

“Sherrone is grateful for this matter to be resolved, and he and his wife, Kelli, are ready to move forward with their family and focus on the next chapter,” Moore’s attorney, Ellen Michaels, said after the sentencing.

An external investigation into Michigan’s athletic department found a culture that “failed to be transparent and accountable.” The Moore-Shriver relationship was included in the scope, and athletics director Warde Manuel is stepping down at the end of the year following the results.
