Ever wonder what your favorite celebrities buy when they’re browsing their favorite boutique or shopping online late at night? Welcome to Six Picks, where we ask stars to spill their style and beauty must-haves — so you can shop like you’re famous, too.
Shay Mitchell will be the first to admit she’s a chronic overpacker.
“I’m always bringing way too many bags, I’m paying the extra fee, I’m adding an extra suitcase. I want to feel comfortable, as a lot of people do, when I’m not at home,” the actress-turned-entrepreneur tells Page Six Style.
Fortunately, as the founder of travel brand Béis, Mitchell’s got no shortage of chic luggage at her disposal — especially now that she’s teamed up with Gap on a limited-edition assortment of denim-inspired baggage.

“I’ve been such a Gap stan since I was a little girl. My best friend and I would come in and both grab overalls and striped shirts; she would get one color, I would get another,” the “Pretty Little Liars” star recalls.
“It’s the place where I’ve always known I’m going to get quality products that look good and are affordable. And those are the exact same values that we have at Béis, too. I want you to feel your most confident while also being comfortable.”
The collaboration also marks Béis’ first apparel offerings, and the pieces — like convertible cargo pants, sweatpant jeans and layer-ready dresses — are all made with busy travelers in mind.
“Adding function to their iconic pieces was something I was super excited to do,” Mitchell says. “Taking their denim jacket and adding an oversized hood, so you can really block out [the light] while you’re traveling. There’s a travel hoodie that has a blow-up neck pillow in it! And with the bandeau jumpsuit, if you want to give it a different look, you can fold the top half down and turn it into pants. I chose material that’s not going to wrinkle, too, so it packs well and wears well.”

Gap x Béis The Weekender

“This bag’s my baby. It was one of the first products we put out, and came from a vision I had while I was on a plane. I wanted to have the separate compartment, and I wanted a large bag, because when I’m traveling, my carry-on’s never enough! I needed a ‘bag topper,’ as I called it. I love the wide frame, and the little key leash, so I don’t lose my keys. A pocket on the outside was essential, for your cell phone or anything you need to easily grab. And then the trolley passthrough was super important; I cannot put my bag on top of my carry-on and have it flying around!”
Nike Air Force 1 ’07 Sneaker

“In the bottom of my Weekender, there’s probably always a pair of white Air Force 1s. They go with everything! I pack my socks inside my shoes, so I’m always good to go.”
Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara

“Because it’s a large bag, I don’t want to just throw things inside; I use our Mesh Pouches to break everything down into compartments. In them, I’ll have my Sky High Mascara; mascara is something I always have. It’s a mascara I’ve always used; I have one in my car, one in my gym bag … I love lashes!”
Herbacin Kamille Hand Cream

“I do not like dry hands, and traveling on a plane, your hands get dry. I have hand cream in all of my purses! My grandma used to use this one, and it feels the best on hands.”
Kelley Baker Brows Brow Defining Pencil

“Kelly Baker’s the only woman I trust with my eyebrows. I always have her pencil with me, and I also use it to fill out my beauty marks — it’s a two-in-one!”
Miu Miu Aviator Sunglasses

“I have these massive aviator Miu Miu shades, and they’re great. I’ve got melasma, and they really cover it! They’re also great for jet lag.”
