Shane Bieber's wife, Kara, joined him on the field as the Blue Jays clinched first World Series berth since 1993

Having enjoyed a fantastic regular season that culminated with a division win for the first time since 2015, the Blue Jays were seen as huge contenders for the pennant heading into October.

After getting through the ALDS, the Seattle Mariners stood in the Blue Jays' way in the championship series. In contrast to the NLCS, the ALCS was an extremely unpredictable affair, and a decisive game seven was required to seperate the two teams.

For much of the crunch clash, it looked like it was destined to be the Mariners' night. However, a three-run home run in the bottom of the seventh from George Springer flipped the game on it's head, before fine work from Chris Bassitt and Jeff Hoffman ensured the Blue Jays managed to hold on to their lead and make it to the World Series for the first time since 1993.

As Shane Bieber celebrated with his teammates after the game, his wife, Kara, also made her way onto the field to join him. She later took to Instagram to share a series of snaps from the joyous evening.
