Shai Gilgeous-Alexander loves the rest the Thunder will get after sweeping the Suns

The Oklahoma City Thunder are now in the Western Conference Semifinals after a dominant sweep against the Phoenix Suns. It was one of the most impressive results for any team in the Playoffs, as they did not give the Suns a chance to build any momentum.

Now, the Thunder will be waiting for the winner of the series between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Houston Rockets. Moving forward, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Thunder will be enjoying their rest and preparing for their upcoming opponents.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander appreciates how the Thunder will get valuable rest after the sweep

The Thunder are one of the strongest teams in the league once again. They are defensive monsters, as they can put out lineups that have no weak defenders. With players like Chet Holmgren, Lu Dort, and Alex Caruso regularly getting minutes, it is extremely hard to score against this team.

When playing against the Thunder, they are usually playing with energy that is hard to match. That typically requires a lot of energy, so playing only four games in a postseason series matters because the Thunder's players can take some valuable time to rest.

Now that the Thunder have quickly swept the Suns, the Thunder are ready to get some rest. Of course, the Rockets could get eliminated in Game 5, but Houston got some good momentum from their Game 4 win that could extend the series further. Nevertheless, SGA and the Thunder are excited about the rest they are getting.

"It is a really good feeling. Just for confidence-wise, as a group, it's good to get the Playoff run started that way. It's just important to get off to a good foot. You can never know what will happen. Usually, the later you go, the better teams, so the series don't get like that. You want to give yourself as many days that you can rest," SGA said after the Thunder's sweep of the Suns.

Moving forward, the Thunder will get some valuable time with their rest. They will be once again favorites against their opponents, whether that will be the Rockets or the Lakers. It will be an interesting to follow, but the Thunder are already locked into their next matchup.
