Seth Rollins Wants To Be In A Tag Team With WWE Star Just One Time, But May Never Be Able To

Seth Rollins has spoken about wanting to be in a tag team with one WWE star at least one time in his career, but the team may never happen. The star is currently out with an injury.

Seth Rollins spoke about how Cena was currently getting ready to retire and had just won the Intercontinental Championship. He said that he had become a Grand Slam Champion and had only three appearances left in his career. He said that now, the time was ready for his last-ever match.

“John Cena is on his retirement run right now. Recently just won the Intercontinental Championship for the first time in his career this past Monday on Raw, beating “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio. He’s a Grand Slam Champion. He’s got [three] appearances left in his WWE career. Madison Square Garden coming up, and then Washington, D.C. for Saturday Night’s Main Event in his final match."

Rollins confessed, breaking away from his usual heel career, to say that he would love to wrestle in a tag team with John Cena. He said that he did not think that had ever happened other than a house show in India, but never on WWE TV.

"And I would love to have John Cena on my side. In all my time in WWE, I don’t think John and I have teamed on television. We had a great tag team match in India at a live event a few years back, which is one of the loudest crowds I’ve ever heard in my life. I could not speak. I could not hear the person speaking to me when John Cena made his entrance. It was magical."

He ended by thanking Cena for his career and said that he was a great friend and a great performer. He would love to wrestle in a tag team with him. Unfortunately, being out with an injury, it's likely that Cena will retire before he can return, and that tag team may never happen again.
