Seth Rollins says "death" of a faction was the most important moment in WWE in years

WWE Superstar Seth Rollins has been out with a shoulder injury since the RAW episode following the 2025 Crown Jewel. While The Visionary got kicked out of his own faction, The Vision, he has now made a statement that the death of another faction, The Bloodline, has been a defining moment for WWE in the last few years.

The Architect was invited to the latest episode of the Games With Names podcast. He noted that the most recent WWE match, which had a lot of buildup and was delivered perfectly, was the WrestleMania XL match between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes.

Seth Rollins highlighted that all the input that went into that plot, where The American Nightmare finished his story and The Bloodline fell apart, was a watershed moment for the pro wrestling industry.

“I think the most important match that we've had recently with the most story and the most build that could probably push this list strong is the WrestleMania 40 Night 2 main event with Roman and Cody and the kind of the death of the bloodline and all the things that went into that whole story and then getting to that point where Roman finally loses the title. I mean, that's that's a that's a watershed moment in our I'd say our industry.”

Seth Rollins had played a part in this storyline on the Road to WrestleMania XL following the 2024 Royal Rumble. He stood alongside Cody Rhodes to fight the duo of The Rock and Roman Reigns when they tried to overpower him. Rollins also took the chair shot from his former Shield brother to ensure Rhodes survives and defeats The Tribal Chief at WM40.

Seth Rollins finally gets his name cleared

The 2025 Survivor Series saw a hooded figure Curb Stomp CM Punk during the final moments of the Men’s WarGames match. The mysterious man made further appearances, helping The Vision. RAW General Manager Adam Pearce tried to identify the person in all-black clothes, with Seth Rollins as his primary suspect.

Trust was thin on The Visionary since he had already pulled the ‘Ruse of the Century’ at the 2025 SummerSlam when he faked a knee injury. However, this week’s episode of WWE RAW saw the mystery figure unmask himself and reveal that he is Austin Theory.

The former United States Champion was written off since July 2025 and is now back with a shaved head. So far, it isn’t clear if Theory is working for The Vision or if he has some plans of his own.

It should be noted that A-Town is also a former disciple of Seth Rollins and aided him during his Monday Messiah arc. For now, The Architect has got his name cleared, and it remains to be seen what lies ahead for Theory and The Vision.
