Key additions: Anthony Mantha, Justin Brazeau, Rafael Harvey-Pinard, Matt Dumba, Connor Clifton, Parker Wotherspoon, Caleb Jones, Alex Alexeyev, Arturs Silovs

The Pens have made a flurry of depth adds, the most notable being Anthony Mantha to the forward core and Matt Dumba to the D core. They also added 2025 Calder winning goalie Arturs Silovs as backup to Tristan Jarry, replacing Alex Nedeljkovic.

Key subtractions: Matt Grzelcyk, Matt Nieto, Pierre-Oliver Joseph, Conor Timmins, Vladislav Kolyachonok, Vasily Ponomarev, Nathan Clurman, Alex Nedeljkovic

The Pens have not lost much of note this summer with defenseman Matt Grzelcyk being the biggest loss. Although top forward Rickard Rakell has been a name heard in trade rumors frequently.

Highest draft pick: Benjamin Kindel, 11th overall

Salary cap space: $13.3 million

Staff: Penguins GM Kyle Dubas made some changes to the staff, letting go of long time head coach Mike Sullivan who brought the club two cups during his decade long tenure. Dan Muse was named as his replacement, he was previously an assistant coach with the New York Rangers. Todd Nelson, former Pen Nick Bonino, Rich Clune and Mike Stothers will be his assistant's staff.

Other: Despite all the rumors and speculation, the Sidney Crosby camp has insisted that his future will always be Pittsburgh. According to Greg Wyshynski, Sid is a Pen as long as Evgeni Malkin is there. We'll see if the Dubas side has the same commitment as this Penguins team looks to enter a rebuild. They will likely be firmly in the Gavin McKenna race this upcoming season.
