Serena Williams’ Husband Alexis Ohanian Confronts Stephen A. Smith Over Super Bowl Comments
Serena Williams is in awe of her little ace.
After all, her 7-year-old daughter Olympia Ohanian, who she shares with husband Alexis Ohanian, is growing up to be her close sidekick. And in honor of their bond, the retired tennis player shared a look at their cutest memories over the years.
“At first they are sweet, then they get sweeter,” Serena wrote on her Oct. 30 Instagram post, sharing a photo of her and Olympia making silly faces together. “Or something like that.”
The Grand Slam champion—also mom to Adira Ohanian, 2, with the Reddit founder—continued going down memory lane, adding several throwback shots of Olympia sitting in the airport, relaxing on the beach, and riding on a boat. To end the tribute, Serena dedicated a heartfelt poem to her little one.
“Dear daughter,” the quote began. “I hope you can always hear my voice saying, ‘You’ve got this,’ when the world feels too loud.”
Indeed, Serena has been by her daughter’s side as they continue to find their voice—and their style. In March, the tennis champion included Olympia and Adira in her limited-edition fashion collection with Janie and Jack, and she noted her eldest helped design certain pieces in the launch.
“Olympia has been picking out her own outfits since she was little, so of course, she had opinions,” she told Parents at the time. “She was hands-on with color and pattern choices, and luckily, we were on the same page with our favorites.”
And while Olympia has an eye for couture, Serena is encouraging her little ones to make a statement in every area of life.
“I want them to always be certain of who they are and never shy away from being themselves,” she continued. “Whether it’s through fashion or in life, it’s about celebrating what sets them apart and feeling strong and comfortable with who they are.”
