The Ottawa Senators have a chance to keep their goalie room together.
Linus Ullmark remains the main man, but backup Anton Forsberg is a free agent.
Senators reporter Bruce Garrioch reports that the Senators "would consider" bringing back Forsberg.
According to AFP Analytics, Forsberg could command a two-year, $3.4 million contract.
Garrioch's report indicated that Forsberg will likely at least test the free agency open market on July 1.
Forsberg is a 32-year old Swedish netminder who was a seventh-round pick by Columbus way back in 2011.
This past season, he went 11-12-3 with three shutouts. He had a 2.72 goals against average and a 90.1 save percentage.

In his career, Forsberg has faced 90.4% of the shots he faces.
He's a 6-foot-3 lefty who is a reliable reserve. If the Senators don't keep him, someone else will gladly bring Forsberg into the fold.
Without Forsberg, the Senators would be looking at a training camp competition between Leevi Merilainen and Mads Sogaard for the backup job. Garrioch reports they wouldn't seek out a different free agent goalie if they don't give Forsberg a new deal.
You never know when you'll need a strong backup goalie, so this Forsberg situation is worth watching.
