Secret memo called ‘Maga Talking Points’ tells Hollywood lefties how to converse with Trump

Call it MAGA SparkNotes for liberals.

Both Hollywood and the MAGA movement have their own unique parlance and it’s not hard to see how things can get lost in translation. That’s where producer Chris Fenton (“47 Ronin”) comes into play.

Sources tell Page Six Hollywood that a group of industryites that includes Ruth Vitale (Creative Future), Josh Rogin (the Motion Picture Association) and Producers United have enlisted Fenton — a Trump supporter — to spread the word using the appropriate language about a potential American Federal Incentive (AFI) to the MAGA masses.

Fenton, a frequent pundit in the right-leaning mediasphere, has been armed with a document labeled “MAGA Talking Points,” which P6H has viewed. Think of the document as a Duolingo for red state regulars struggling to connect with the economic plight of Tinseltown denizens.

Bullet points include: “President Trump is the only person who can make this happen,” and “this type of policy should be right in President Trump’s wheelhouse because it delivers good jobs to American workers in America.”

The AFI, which calls for a federal tax incentive to help the States compete with more than 80 countries offering significant offsets, is endorsed by the DGA, IATSE, SAG-AFTRA, WGAW, WGAE, IFTA, PGA, Film USA, Teamsters and Hollywood Ambassador Jon Voight — not exactly the most Trump-friendly crowd with the exception of Voight.

But with 2.7 million jobs on the line, invested parties have become less dogmatic and more pragmatic. If Trump were to pass the AFI, it would likely result in an immediate influx of film and TV production to all 50 states (red ones included). But few from the industry can or are willing to speak to conservatives in a way that resonates.

Fenton, a former film executive based in China who became a vocal critic of the Middle Kingdom’s strong-armed tactics in Hollywood, broke ranks with much of the town in January 2025 when he penned an op-ed for RealClear Politics titled “Why This Lifelong Democrat Voted for Trump.” That sentiment has helped him become something of a bridge between the oft-warring factions of Hollywood and MAGA-dom, popping up everywhere from Fox News to Sinclair’s National News Desk.

We reached out to Fenton about his role as Hollywood’s unlikely MAGA whisperer.

“It may be the first time Hollywood all agrees on something, but they don’t have a vehicle that can talk respectfully to the right side of the aisle — and also the left — to hopefully engage Trump and MAGA, while also being sensitive to Dem-side issues,” Fenton told us. “We just need that crucial shot of adrenaline from D.C. to get those backlots, soundstages and 2.7 million Americans back to work.”
