With just three of the top 16 darts players in the world competing at Player Championship event 22, there were opportunities for lower-ranked players to make a run in the event.
Several lower-ranked players did just that, including Poland's Sebastian Bialecki.
Bialecki wins first career PDC title
After a few years of competing in PDC events, Bialecki can finally breathe a sigh of relief after getting a coveted first title.
He averaged 95.05 for the day, en route to the event win.
His day started with a 6-5 win over Lukas Wenig.
In the round of 64, he beat Adam Paxton 6-2.
He averaged just 89.98 in his round of 32 game against Luke Woodhouse, but it was enough to come away with a 6-4 win. Woodhouse averaged just 84.35.
