The Seattle Seahawks, coming out of their first-round bye, got a banged-up San Francisco 49ers team, and on the very first play, essentially won the game.
Rashid Shaheed, acquired at the trade deadline, returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown in one of the best possible ways to begin a playoff game.
As the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network (PNSN) shared on Twitter/x, this kick return touchdown from Shaheed registered seismic activity that's akin to Marshawn Lynch's iconic Beastquake run against the New Orleans Saints.
Seahawks' Rashid Shaheed creates 'Speedquake' on opening kickoff
PNSN shared the kickoff return touchdown alongside the seismograph for the field at Lumen Field, which showed the 12's shaking the stadium as Shaheed broke through the 49ers front line on the return.
Rashid Shaheed got things started right away with an opening kickoff return touchdown, the 12s got things shakin', and the Seahawks never looked back!

Aaron Levine of Fox 13 also shared the seismograph from this opening kickoff, which further showed that Shaheed's return to begin the game sparked such an incredible response.
While it might not register the same way that Lynch's "Beastquake" did, this play from Shaheed drew an incredible response from the Seahawks fans in attendance.
Part of why this return touchdown might not have registered like the Beastquake is that it happened at the very beginning of the game, while some fans might still be waiting for concessions or haven't made it to their seats just yet.
But that's what makes this crowd reaction so impressive. From the very beginning, even with a less consolidated crowd, the Seahawks fans in attendance made this opening kickoff one of the more memorable in NFL history.
This play is going not just in NFL history, but in Seahawks lore. Shaheed's "Speedquake" is one of the more stunning ways to begin a game, and the fans reacted perfectly, registering this wild start to the game on local seismographs, creating a new Beastquake.
