The Seattle Seahawks are entering the 2026 offseason with a bunch of needs across the roster. One of the more pressing issues is in the secondary.
Coby Bryant is a free agent, but so too are cornerbacks Josh Jobe and Tariq Woolen. The Seahawks might need to spend a bit to land a cornerback opposite Devon Witherspoon this offseason, and the NFL Draft is a great place to do that.
ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr., in his latest mock draft, predicted that the Seahawks would take Clemson cornerback Avieon Terrell, who is the younger brother of Atlanta Falcons star A.J. Terrell.
Seahawks predicted to take brother of Falcons' A.J. Terrell in Round 1
"Let's close out Round 1 with a talented cornerback to replace free agents Riq Woolen and Josh Jobe," Kiper writes. "... The brother of A.J. Terrell, Avieon Terrell, can fly in coverage, and he has 27 pass breakups over three seasons."
The Seahawks have a big need at cornerback, but with the massive contract coming up for Witherspoon and Jaxon Smith-Njigba, the Seahawks need to find ways to get cheaper.
Letting Jobe and Woolen walk, and drafting a cornerback like Terrell in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft, could give the Seahawks a young, cheap, talented cornerback for the next four-to-five seasons.
A.J. Terrell has already been in the NFL for six seasons, and he's put up some great years for the Falcons. He even earned a second-team All-Pro nod early in his career. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound cornerback has been a great first-round pick for the Falcons.

Avieon Terrell, the Clemson cornerback the Seahawks could take 32nd overall in the 2026 NFL Draft, could be a great outside cornerback to pair with Witherspoon.
He is a 5-foot-11, 180-pound cornerback who's had three interceptions, 27 passes defended, 90 total tackles, four sacks, and eight forced fumbles for Clemson in his three years with the team since 2023.
Kiper's pre-NFL Scouting Combine mock draft has the Seahawks taking Terrell 32nd overall. The brother of Falcons star CB A.J. Terrell would be a nice pickup to round out the secondary in 2026 as the Seahawks look to rebuild their defense this offseason.
