After their Super Bowl 60 win, the Seattle Seahawks lost a few key players in free agency. But, of those departing players, the loss of Kenneth Walker III stings the most.
He won Super Bowl MVP, and with Zach Charbonnet out to begin the season, the Seahawks' running back room is in dire shape.
ESPN's Matt Miller shared that the Seahawks "want to add" to their running back room in the draft, and that they have eyes on 1,000-yard running back out of Arkansas, Mark Washington Jr.
Seahawks interested in Mike Washington Jr. amid RB need
"It's no secret the Seahawks want to add a running back in this class, and I've heard Mike Washington Jr. (Arkansas) has met with them in the run-up to the draft," Miller reports.
This is not a surprising development for the Seahawks, as they desperately need running back help this offseason after losing Walker to the Kansas City Chiefs.
They went out and signed Emmanuel Wilson, the former Green Bay Packers running back, though he's not going to be a full-time starter for Seattle.
He's quality depth, and will be a fine option along with George Holani coming off the bench for the running back room. But they need one more option.

Washington, the Arkansas running back, ran a 4.33-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine at 6-foot-2, 223 pounds. That's a ridiculously impressive time for someone his size. Add in his 1,070 yards and eight touchdowns last year, and he's a fun prospect.
Seattle would benefit from adding Washington, and he'd be a second or third-round pick as well. The Seahawks could use their first-round pick on an edge rusher or cornerback, and come back with the 64th pick and take Washington for the RB room.
Washington could come to Washington this offseason, and it would make a ton of sense for the Seahawks. This is one move to keep a close eye on for Seahawks fans, as the RB needs, combined with Washington's link to the team, makes for a good Day 2 fit.
