Seahawks' Jadarian Price is already not worth a first-round pick per ESPN analyst

The Seattle Seahawks made the 32nd and final selection of the 2026 NFL Draft by taking Notre Dame running back Jadarian Price.

With Zach Charbonnet beginning the season out due to injury, and Kenneth Walker III leaving for the Kansas City Chiefs, the Seahawks needed to find a new RB1. While the free-agent market and draft class weren't great, they wound up taking Price in Round 1.

Only a few months later, ESPN's Bill Barnwell, in projecting trade values for every top player around the NFL, didn't give Price a first-round value. Price is already not worth a first-round pick.

Jadarian Price is not worth a first-round pick in a trade

"Missing out: QB Sam Darnold, LB Ernest Jones IV, RB Jadarian Price," Barnwell projects.

These three players aren't worth a first-round pick, and while the trade value for Darnold is a bit strange, Jones and Price being worth less than a first-round pick, unfortunately, makes sense.

Price has yet to play a snap in the NFL, let alone begin training camp. But, as the 32nd overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, a weaker class overall, it shouldn't be a huge surprise that he's not worth a first-round pick.

He was a backup at Notre Dame to Jeremiyah Love, who is still worth a first-round pick. But Price, as the backup and taken with the 32nd overall pick, isn't worth a first-round pick.

Despite being taken with a first-round pick back in April, a few months later in July, he's already not worth a first-round selection. He had 674 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns this past season for Notre Dame and is just 22 years old.

But, since he's a running back, a position with inherently less trade value, and the 32nd overall pick, it shouldn't surprise Seahawks fans that he's already not worth a first-round pick.
