The Seattle Seahawks are coming off their bye week and appear to be getting healthier - in some ways at least - heading into their rematch with the Santa Clara 49ers. While top outside linebacker Uchenna Nwosu is still on injured reserve and has been joined by George Fant, Seattle is getting a couple of the most-important players on the roster back in the lineup this week. That includes right tackle Abe Lucas, who's expected to suit up for the first time this season on Sunday.
Here's what we know about all the other major pieces that were on Wednesday's Week 11 injury report for the Seahawks.
WR DK Metcalf
Aside from Lucas making his 2024 debut, the best news is that star wide receiver DK Metcalf also appears to be on track to play this week after sitting out the team's last two games, both losses. Metcalf suffered a minor MCL sprain against the Atlanta Falcons and hadn't practiced since until yesterday - DK was listed as a full participant. That means barring a setback later this week he should be on the field against the 49ers. Dre'Mont Jones was also listed as a full participant with his shoulder issue.
TE Noah Fant
Seahawks tight end Noah Fant continues to have little to no luck with injuries this season. Fant was one of four players who were listed as non-participants at yesterday's practice. This time he's dealing with a groin injury. The Seahawks have already signed former Patriots first-round pick N'Keal Harry to their practice squad, so there's a decent chance they expect that Fant will not be in the lineup this week.
DL Leonard Williams
One of the other DNPs listed was Big Cat Leonard Williams, who's apparently dealing with a new foot injury. Williams has been Seattle's most-consistent defender since coming over from the New York Giants just before last year's NFL trade deadline. The Seahawks have also made a hedge move here, claiming nose tackle Brandon Pili off waivers from the Miami Dolphins.
OLB Boye Mafe
Third-year edge rusher Boye Mafe was one of two players who were listed as limited, in addition to Lucas. Mafe is still dealing with the knee injury that he suffered in the home win over the Dolphins back in Week 3. Mafe has totaled four sacks and eight quarterback hits in seven games this year.
