Just in time for the 40th anniversary of the Jem and the Holograms brand, Hasbro has released an album with re-recordings of tracks from the 1985 TV series. In addition, the original singing voice of Jem, Britta Phillips, made a special appearance at San Diego Comic-Con 2025, delighting fans by joining the G.I. Joe-themed band Cold Slither onstage on July 24th, 2025 at San Diego music venue Brick by Brick.

Jem and the Holograms

The new Jem and the Holograms album, which was created and produced by a female-led team, includes six reimagined tracks from the original TV series. These are “Theme Song,” “Only The Beginning,” “Truly Outrageous,” “Like A Dream,” “I Got My Eye On You” and “She’s Got The Power.” The album also includes audio cues from the original series.

Depending on how you prefer to listen to your music, you can either enjoy the music digitally or get the album on vinyl. And there are two different versions of the album available. In addition to the more widely available pink album, there’s also a limited “Totally Outrageous” edition of 500 available from Enjoy the Ride Records.

Phillips joining Cold Slither onstage isn’t the only promotion for the album transpiring this weekend at SDCC. If you’re at the con, you can also visit the Jem and the Holograms Prism Comics Booth Experience at the Prism Comics booth (#2144). As of writing, there are still two more opportunities to experience this exciting event for yourself: Saturday, July 26 from 3-4 p.m. and Sunday, July 27 from 2-3 p.m.
