Move over Destroyah, because the King of the Monsters has new playmates to smash. At Friday’s “Godzilla at 70: Seven Decades of the King of Monsters” panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2025, IDW’s Jake Williams announced an upcoming crossover series between Godzilla and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, launching this November. The series will be written by Tim Seeley and illustrated by Fero Pe.

Williams also hyped up the October release of the Chris Gooch/Oliver Ono title, Starship Godzilla, as well as Godzilla: Escape the DeadZone by Ethan Parker, Griffin Sheridan and Pablo Tunica, covering the Kai-Sei universe and the Ion Dragon design process.

Joining him onstage were panelists Brian Flynn (founder, Super7), Hector Arce (senior director of creative and product development, Mondo), Peter Santa Maria (senior creative director, Mondo), and Jeff Gordon (director, franchise and retail brand development). Together, they spoke at length about exclusive line of Ichibansho and Destroyah models available at the Bandai booth during the show.

In addition, Flynn highlighted a special pop-up at the Super7 store, which has been transformed into a replica of the train attack scene in Godzilla (2014).

Later, Shin Godzilla director Shinji Higuchi joined the panelists to discuss the creative design and 4k remastering of his blockbuster hit—a visual update intended to freshen up the series.

Wrapping up the event, O’Shea Jackson made a surprise appearance to ask the panelists about their favorite Godzilla films, Higuchi cited the 1973 cult classic Godzilla vs. Megalon as his favorite,  while Jackson himself liked King of the Monsters, humorously noting that he appreciated not dying in the film. In the end, it was a toss-up between Shin Godzilla, Godzilla vs. Megalon and King Kong vs. Godzilla.
