Scottie Scheffler has matched Tiger Woods’ record by winning the PGA Tour Player of the Year award for the fourth straight season. Only Woods and Scheffler have ever claimed the Jack Nicklaus Award at least four times in a row. The award is decided by a vote among PGA Tour players, and Scheffler beat out fellow nominees Rory McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood, and Ben Griffin.
Scheffler dominated the 2025 season with six wins, twice as many as any other player. His victories included two major championships, the PGA Championship and the British Open, bringing him close to completing a career Grand Slam. He also led the PGA Tour in scoring average across all four rounds, becoming the first player to do so since Woods in 2000.
