Science Hill’s Lane Clement named The Sporting News Tennessee Player of the Week from Week 4

Lane Clement has had a successful start for his new high school football team.

Clement is in his first season as the quarterback at Science Hill High School in Johnson City, Tenn., after moving there in the offseason from Colorado.

A senior, Clement has helped the Hilltoppers to a 4-0 start to the season. In their win to move to 4-0 - a 35-0 win against Bearden - Clement completed 16-of-22 passes for 188 yards and three touchdowns, all going to three different receivers.

For his efforts, Wilson was voted as The Sporting News Tennessee Player of the Week from Week 4, covering games played from Sept. 8-14.
