The premiere of “Scary Movie” may have started over 45 minutes late last night… but what was another near-hour after it’s been 13 years since “Scary Movie 5?”
Producers of spoofed films like “Weapons” and “The Substance” were in the crowd, and star Marlon Wayans was scanning for reactions. “I feel like I’m about to get a barrage of phone calls,” he said with a laugh.

“Damn, we should’ve gotten high for this,” one attendee said as she entered the theater and spotted a giant “WAZZUP” sign above a wall of popcorn-filled bongs.
“Since this franchise came out of our hands, we’ve always dreamt about having this moment again,” Marlon told a crowd including Lizzo, Backstreet Boy AJ McLean, Carmen Electra, Anthony Anderson, Shawn Wayans and Anna Faris.
