Savannah Guthrie and her husband Michael Feldman stepped out for a rare date night at U.S. Open 2026 Aug. 25 amid her mom Nancy Guthrie's disappearance.
Savannah Guthrie Has Sweet Reunion With Hoda Kotb Amid Break From Today Show
Savannah Guthrie is finding net positives wherever she can.
The Today anchor enjoyed a night out with husband Michael Feldman at U.S. Open 2026, catching retired tennis player Roger Federer's exhibition matches against Andy Roddick and Andre Agassi in New York on Aug. 25.
For the occasion, Guthrie wore a sleeveless floral midi dress by Dolce & Gabbana, which she paired with transparent heels and gold jewelry. Meanwhile, Feldman—with whom the 54-year-old shares kids Vale, 12, and Charley, 9—donned a blue blazer, white button-up shirt and black trousers.
The public date night was a rarity for Guthrie, who has had a challenging year after her Nancy Guthrie was abducted in Arizona in early February.
"It’s always with me," she shared of her distress during a June episode of Today. "I cry every morning on the way to work, and I cry every morning on the way home. And I’m grateful to have good friends and to be able to come to such a beautiful and joyous and supportive place.”
Though Guthrie did take a two-month hiatus from the morning show in the wake of her mother's abduction, she said work is one of the few moments of her daily life when she's "not thinking" too much about the tragic situation.
“it’s something to do and it brings me a lot of joy to be with everybody,” she explained. "But, no, it’s not easy.”
In fact, Guthrie said she and her siblings have "lived every moment, every breath, and every heartbeat in agony and despair" since their mother's disappearance.

"Every day, we wake up and try to be strong and go on—because that’s what our joyful and resilient Mom taught us to do," she wrote on Instagram Aug. 1. "But make no mistake—our hearts are in ruins."
"We spend every waking moment thinking of her, longing for her, looking for her," Guthrie continued. "There is a hole inside us that can never be filled. There is an ache that cannot be softened. And there is a determination in us that cannot be quenched—to find out what happened to her, so that we can give her the dignity of a proper goodbye—a celebration of her remarkable life that she so deserves."
Fortunately, the journalist has been leaning on Feldman during this difficult period. As he wrote in a Mother's Day tribute this May, Guthrie is "the strongest person I know."
