Former AEW star Saraya issued clarification regarding a possible WWE return. The former AEW Women's World Champion wasn't cleared to wrestle in WWE after a neck injury, and then she eventually left the company in 2022. AEW medically cleared her, and she then went on to win the world title on the big stage. She had a good run as a babyface, but fans didn't like her as a heel.

In November 2024, the Norfolk Doll asked for her exit from the company, and her contract ended in March 2025. Since then, fans have been asking her about a potential WWE return. However, it appears many have misunderstood her stance on returning to the global sports entertainment juggernaut.

While speaking to the Toronto Sun, Saraya said she is often asked about returning to WWE during interviews, and when the Anti-Diva answers, people assume she is begging to get hired when she is not.

"I will say that any time I am in an interview, I always get asked that. Every person that comes to my table, I always get asked that. But Twitter [X] can be so harsh because if I talk about it, they’re like, ‘You’re begging for a job,’ and I’m like, ‘No! People ask me and I’m just answering their question.’ I’m not randomly going, ‘Hey, bring me back.’ I’m just getting a lot of love and a good reception from this, and people really just want me to come back. I think that’s incredible. And yeah, maybe one day, but I don’t know though,” she said. [H/T - ITR Wrestling]

Saraya talks about getting ready for an in-ring return

The former AEW Women's World Champion has been away from the pro wrestling ring for over a year.

Speaking with the Toronto Sun, Saraya stated that she will resume training in January. She made it clear that she wants to return to the squared circle in her top form.

"I’m gonna get into training in January and we’ll see where that takes me, you know. Because I feel like I do—if I was to ever come back, you know, not saying I am, but if I was to ever come back, I want to be at the top of my game and be wrestling better than I was wrestling back when I was in NXT, you know," she said.

It will be interesting to see when the Norfolk Doll returns to WWE.
