Sarah Paulson, Kim Kardashian Face Off in Cutthroat All’s Fair Trailer

How Kim Kardashian Truly “Impressed” Glenn Close in ‘All’s Fair’ TV Show (Exclusive)

All rise for the All's Fair trailer.

Kim Kardashian, Glenn Close, Sarah Paulson, Niecy Nash, Teyana Taylor and Naomi Watts raised the bar in both fierce looks and even more cutthroat banter in the newly-released preview for the upcoming legal drama.

As the synopsis promises, "A team of female divorce attorneys leave a male-dominated firm to open their own powerhouse practice. Fierce, brilliant, and emotionally complicated, they navigate high-stakes breakups, scandalous secrets, and shifting allegiances—both in the courtroom and within their own ranks."

Indeed, this shift is evidently brutal, as Sarah's character makes a quip that her new look (which mirrors Kim's character to a tee) is "nothing more than next Halloween's costume where I will be dressing as a whore lawyer."

Created by Ryan Murphy, All's Fair centers around an all-female law firm based in California. And though Kim is no stranger to life in front of the camera, this acting role marks a major departure. In fact, the showrunner wanted Kim, who has also been embarking on a law journey in real life, to lead the series after working with her on 2023's American Horror Story: Delicate.

And Ryan's pitch meeting was documented on a 2024 episode of The Kardashians.

"You were really, really good to the point where they called me and were like, 'Do you think Kim would want to do her own show?'" he told Kim while pitching her the idea for All's Fair, saying that the series "has what Sex and the City has, which is girlfriends."

"When you're through a divorce, I would imagine that you're very close to your lawyer and you tell them everything," Ryan continued, adding that the show will revolve around "bond of women trying to get through an experience together."

It seems the bond has ultimately made its way offscreen as well. After all, Kim's costars have had nothing but praise for the 44-year-old.

"I was so impressed by Kim," Glenn, 78, told E! News in May. "I say that absolutely sincerely."

The eight-time Oscar nominee continued, "She's a very sweet woman, she does her homework, she has great people around her, which says a lot."

Meanwhile, Sarah, 50, said she was most surprised by how "funny" Kim was on set.

"She had me giggling a lot," the AHS mainstay told E! in August. "She doesn’t take herself seriously. She’s great, I had a great time with her.”
