Sarah Jessica Parker Shares Insight on "Tough Decision" to End And Just Like That
And just like that, Sarah Jessica Parker had everyone doing a double take.
The Sex and the City star made jaws drop when she stepped out for the New York City Ballet 2025 Fall Fashion Gala on Oct. 8 wearing a set of giant black wings.
For the event, Sarah, 60, walked the red carpet in an off-white mini dress with black netting that covered her chest and cascaded into a long train. And attached to the dark Iris van Herpen ensemble was a pair of floor-length wings that sat on her shoulders as a possible homage to Black Swan.
To top off the daring look, Sarah opted to style her hair in a sleek bun and wore simple black peep-toe pumps.
And while her outfit will certainly go down as a memorable style statement, it also made posing alongside her date, husband of 28 years Matthew Broderick, a little difficult.
At one point, the couple—who are parents to son James Wilkie Broderick, 25, as well as twin daughters Tabitha Hodge Broderick and Marion Loretta Elwell Broderick, 16,—shared a laugh as Sarah poked her head out from behind her wing so she could more easily find his hand to hold.
Of course, experimenting with fashion is nothing new for Sarah. In fact, the And Just Like That actress has no regrets about any of the wild outfits she's rocked over the years.
As she put it to W magazine in June, "I don’t regret any of it, because what’s the point?"

"I’m sure there is a laundry list of things I should be telling you that were mistakes, whoopsie-daisies, wrong, misguided, unflattering," Sarah continued. "All of it has been a gift; all of it has been ridiculous. All of it has been exhausting; all of it has been thrilling. All of it has been like I’m in a world that is just barely based in reality. What is there to regret?"
However, that attitude toward fashion doesn't seem to have trickled down to her daughters—yet.
"Thus far, they’re not really raiding my closet or anything," Sarah said. "They like clothing, but it’s not playing an oversize role in their life."
She added, "They definitely have ideas about how they want to feel and look when they walk out the door, but they don’t seem particularly distracted [by it]."
