The New Orleans Saints' offseason is going to be a fun one. For the first time since the Drew Brees era, the Saints won't be scrambling to find a quarterback.
Tyler Shough is the answer at QB, and while they have some holes to address all around the roster, things are looking a lot better now than they have in many years prior.
At 8th overall in the 2026 NFL Draft, the Saints could, and should, take an offensive player. Jeremiyah Love out of Notre Dame would be fun, but ESPN's Field Yates, in his latest mock draft, predicts the Saints will pass on Love to take an "electric" wide receiver.
Saints predicted to pass on Love to take Jordyn Tyson
"Tyson would be a huge addition to Kellen Moore's offense, which still needs more playmaking alongside Chris Olave," Yates writes. "At 6-foot-2 and 200 pounds, Tyson is electric with the ball in his hands."
The Saints are predicted by Yates to pick Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson at 8th overall, pairing the playmaking wide receiver with Chris Olave in the Saints offense.
While running back might be a need, the Saints will have a much harder time finding a wide receiver to pair with Olave than they would in finding a running back to replace Alvin Kamara.

Tyson, this past season for Arizona State, despite dealing with shaky quarterback play all season long and some injury issues, he put up 711 receiving yards and eight touchdowns on 61 receptions.
Last season for the Sun Devils, Tyson put up 1,101 yards and 10 touchdowns on 75 receptions, which included a late-season explosion of 444 yards and three touchdowns over his final three games.
While there might be some injury issues for Tyson, if his medicals come back clean, and teams feel confident about him, he could be the clear top wide receiver in this draft class.
Giving Shough a good supporting cast is a must. Adding Tyson alongside Olave would make for a great wide receiver duo. Yates' prediction for the Saints is a fun one, and Tyson coming to New Orleans would be exactly what the Saints need this offseason.
