SAN FRANCISCO — Sabrina Ionescu doesn’t know what to expect Wednesday when she takes the court for the first time at Chase Center.
The Bay Area is home.
A lot of people hit her up for tickets for the Liberty game against the Valkyries. She couldn’t hook everyone up. She’ll have about 50 friends and family there for sure, but knows many more are buying their way into the building for the occasion.
Wednesday is the homecoming she never knew for certain she would get when she was drafted No. 1 overall by the Liberty in 2020.
