Ryan Clark’s firing by ESPN last week took the sports media world by storm. Clark was fired in the middle of “NFL Live” last Monday, and he later grew emotional addressing his departure on his “The Pivot” podcast.
Former star running back LeSean McCoy isn’t buying it. McCoy accused Clark of putting on an act “for clicks” on in his most recent appearance on the “Speakeasy” podcast.
“A lot of dudes do stuff for attention,” McCoy mentioned. “It’s a lot of them that do this, and I truly think that he’s one of them. So, my thing is, I just don’t know how real this is. He might have real feelings. I don’t know, but I’ve watched him over the years. He’s such a social media dude.”

“This is part of it…I don’t feel bad. None of that. Like we all been fired,” McCoy said. “My thing with Ryan is I just don’t know if it’s real or not because I’ve seen him all in action. That’s what he does. That’s what they do. Anything happens, I’m gonna speak about it because I just want to be looked at. I want to be accepted.”
Clark was a regular on “NFL Live” and ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” coverage, as well as a contributor to “First Take” with Stephen A. Smith.

“I wasn’t laid off. I was fired,” Clark claimed. “They’re using layoffs as a cover and a camouflage for what they already intended on doing. But there was no cause for it. So because there was no cause for it, you couldn’t just fire me. So you had to wait for the layoff so you could camouflage it and veil it.”
