Rutgers is off to a 2-0 start after dismantling Miami (Ohio) in Week 2 of the college football season.
It was the second consecutive game the Scarlet Knights played against an Ohio-based team, and now they'll welcome Norfolk State from Virginia. This will be the third straight home matchup of the season, as Rutgers doesn't play on the road until Week 5 against Minnesota.
Athan Kaliakmanis completed 26 of 36 passes for 259 yards and four touchdowns in Week 2's 45-17 victory. He connected with Ian Strong nine times for 116 yards and two scores. This duo is looking lethal and will likely be a defensive focal point for the Spartans.
Norfolk State earned its first victory of the season against Virginia State in Week 2. It was a 34-31 overtime win after losing in Week 1 to Towson. Rutgers will be quite the challenge, especially with how the Scarlet Knights have looked thus far.
It also marks the first road game of the season for Norfolk State.
