The Giants are shuffling their quarterback depth chart.
Jameis Winston has been promoted to be the No. 2 behind Jaxson Dart, moving veteran Russell Wilson to third string, according to NFL Network.
Winston would get the start Sunday at home against the Packers if Dart is unable to go after leaving the Giants’ loss to the Bears last week with a concussion.
The decision is the first significant move for Mike Kafka, who was promoted to interim head coach after Brian Daboll was fired Monday.
Wilson was abysmal in two of three starts this season before being benched for Dart, who has sparked excitement for the franchise even during another dreadful 2-8 season.
