A shocking video posted to social media captured a staff member taking a tumble as he stopped a prop boulder that bounced off course and hurdled toward the audience at Walt Disney World in Florida.
The clips of the incident posted on TikTok and Reddit on Tuesday showed the boulder quickly emerging from a cloud of smoke during the stunt-filled Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The fast-moving boulder then rolled off a rocky ledge and bounced toward the packed audience — until a staff member ran in front of the prop and was swiftly knocked to the ground as he appeared to try to absorb its impact, the video showed.
A few audience members jumped up as other staff members rushed to fully stop the prop boulder and help the man.
Various perspectives of the incident, which reportedly occurred on Tuesday afternoon, have been posted by audience members on social media.

“The cast member was able to walk but was bleeding on the head,” one audience member posted on Reddit.
A similar incident reportedly occurred at the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular last year, according to multiple reports and social media posts.
In the clip, a cast member acting in the show was struck by the fast-moving boulder, which continued to roll over him — sending staff rushing to his aid.
It is unknown when that exact video was taken.
The 30-minute show depicts fictional characters Indiana Jones and Marion Ravenwood as they re-enact daring stunts with explosive special effects from the 1981 film Raiders of the Lost Ark.
