Rory McIlroy is adding another acting credit to his resume.

The two-time Masters champion, who won the title back-to-back, shared how he got involved in the highly anticipated film, The Devil Wears Prada 2.

He said that having a cameo in the film "was so random," and that he was asked to be a part of it last year.

"I won The Players' Championship last year, and they asked me afterwards, 'What did you do last night to prepare?' I said, 'I had dinner and got back to the room, and I watched The Devil Wears Prada,' " McIlroy told Travis and Jason Kelce on their New Heights podcast last week.

The professional golfer explained that the director reached out to him if he would be interested.

"The director, David Frankel, somehow got wind of it, so the team reached out and said, 'Look, Dave was wondering if you'd want to do some sort of cameo," McIlroy explained. "I said to my wife Erica, 'Eh, what do you think?' and she's like, 'Yeah, absolutely!' "

He then asked if his wife, Erica Stoll, could "be in it too," and the producers were elated for her to participate too.

The Irish golfer told Travis and Jason that they "spent the day in New York" and had "the most unbelievable experience" while filming.

This is the second time that McIlroy has been on a Hollywood set, as he also starred in Adam Sandler's Happy Gilmore 2, which was released last year alongside Travis. The Kansas City Chiefs star called the golfer a "movie star," to which he politely declined the title.

"I am not a movie star," McIlroy quipped back. "If you watch me act, you can tell I am not a movie star."
