The English dream of Rory McIlroy’s wife will soon become a reality.

The Northern Irishman and his family will be relocating to the United Kingdom after the 2025 U.S. Open in June, following the completion of their Wentworth home, Telegraph Sport reported Wednesday.

McIlroy, who has called South Florida home in recent years, spoke this week ahead of the Truist Championship about how he, wife Erica Stoll and daughter Poppy, 4, checked in on the residence following his 2025 Masters triumph last month.

“Straight after Augusta, we traveled over to see the house as it was going through the finishing touches,” McIlroy said from the Philadelphia Cricket Club, which is playing host to the PGA Tour event.

“It was fun to see and we could have stayed in it, but we wanted to get over to Holywood [McIlroy’s hometown].”

McIlroy, 36, intends to keep the property in the Sunshine State, and while he’s competing it will be “their base,” per the outlet.

Europe has been on the family’s mind for some time.

When the third season of the Netflix docuseries “Full Swing” dropped earlier this year, McIlroy spoke of Stoll’s yearning for England in a conversation with former US Open champ Martin Kaymer.

Kaymer noted that he ran into Stoll at a Starbucks and the upstate New York native told him that “I really don’t like the sun.”

“If it was up to her, she wouldn’t move to England straightaway, but she definitely wants to spend more time there,” he said.

It’s been quite a year for McIlroy and Stoll, who reconciled last summer after the five-time major champion filed for divorce in May 2024.

Stoll and Poppy were at Augusta National last month to celebrate McIlroy as he completed a career Grand Slam with a playoff victory over Justin Rose to win his first-ever Masters.

“There were points in my career where I didn’t know if I would have this nice garment over my shoulders,’’ McIlroy said of the green jacket after a rollercoaster final round that saw him miss a putt on the 18th that would have put the tournament away in regulation.

“I certainly didn’t make it easy. I was nervous. It was one of the toughest days I’ve ever had on the golf course.”

McIlroy had gone 11 years without winning a major before his Masters victory in April.

He’ll compete for a sixth major next week at the PGA Championship, followed by the U.S. Open in June.

McIlroy and Stoll have been married since 2017.
