Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano announcers: Meet Netflix's broadcast team for the 2026 MMA fight

On Saturday night, Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano dust off the gloves for one final fight inside the cage.

The two trailblazers headline a star-studded card from inside the Intuit Dome. Netflix will be broadcasting the event, its first MMA production after putting on boxing events like Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson, Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford, and Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano 3.

Once again, Netflix is set to roll out a notable list of broadcasters to provide commentary and analysis on Rousey vs. Carano.

Play-by-play: Mauro Ranallo 

Leading the commentary team will be Mauro Ranallo, one of the most recognizable names in combat sports.

Ranallo was one of the lead voices of Pride FC. Over the years, he has provided commentary for several WWE, MMA, and boxing events. Ranallo is known for celebrating critical moments with various wordplay, including crying out "Mamma Mia.”

Analyst: Kenny Florian

Former MMA fighter Kenny Florian will provide ringside analysis with Ranallo.

A former Ultimate Fighter finalist, Florian (14-6) competed against the very best in the UFC. A Brazilian jiu-jitsu champion, Florian has done commentary for the UFC, PFL, and BattleBots.

Reporter: Sibley Scoles

Acting as the reporter for the evening will be Sibley Scoles.

The Emmy Award-winning journalist is known as an in-game host for the Las Vegas Raiders. She has also worked with Most Valuable Promotions for various fights. Scoles will be providing updates from backstage and in the crowd.

Ring announcer: Kody Mommaerts

In-ring announcing duties will be provided by Kody Mommaerts. 

"Big Mo" has been the ring announcer for BOXXER and BYB Extreme Fighting Series. A former college football player, Mommaerts started as a commentator before transitioning to ring announcing. 

Lead anchor: Elle Duncan

Elle Duncan will provide coverage through the night as Netflix’s lead anchor, before sending it down to Ranallo and Florian.

Duncan was a staple on ESPN programming, specializing in basketball and women’s sports. She was signed by Netflix to be the lead anchor for the platform and is also a studio host for USA Network's coverage of the WNBA.  

Main desk host: Tyron Woodley

Joining Duncan at the desk will be former UFC champion Tyron Woodley.

A wrestler, Woodley (19-7-1) won the Big 12 Championships with Missouri and is a former UFC welterweight champion. "The Chosen One" ended his MMA career on a four-fight losing streak and has since competed in several boxing bouts, with two against Jake Paul.

Reporter, Analyst, Main desk host: Ariel Helwani

One of the most famous journalists in combat sports today, Ariel Helwani will serve as a fight night reporter along with Sibley Scoles. 

Helwani graduated from Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. The Canadian has covered all aspects of combat sports for various organizations, from HBO Sports, MMA Fighting, FS1's UFC Tonight, and ESPN, to his most recent venture, forming The Uncrowned with Yahoo.

Desk Analyst: Jon Jones

Former UFC champion Jon Jones will be providing commentary and analysis with Netflix’s crew.

A top-tier collegiate wrestler, Jones (28-1, 1 NC) is considered one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time. "Bones" has held the UFC light heavyweight and heavyweight titles. He recently retired, unretired, and attempted to secure his release from the UFC.

A fight between Jones and Francis Ngannou, who is on the card, has been discussed for years, but it never materialized.

Desk Analyst: Cain Velasquez

Former world champion Cain Velasquez will also be providing commentary and analysis with Netflix’s crew.

Also a gold medalist in collegiate wrestling, Velasquez's (14-3) last fight was against Ngannou. The former two-time UFC heavyweight champion will be in the spotlight for the first time since being granted parole in February after serving ten months in prison. He pleaded no-contest to attempted murder charges involving a man accused of abusing a family member.

Desk Analyst: Cat Zingano

Former Rousey opponent Cat Zingano will also be providing commentary and analysis.

A gold medalist in wrestling, Zingano (14-5) beat the likes of Raquel Pennington, Miesha Tate, and Amanda Nunes. She lost to Rousey in 14 seconds in 2015 for the UFC bantamweight title.

Rules and Scoring: Sean Wheelock 

Rules and scoring will be provided by Sean Wheelock. 

Wheelock has provided commentary for M-1 Challenge, Bellator, and FC Kansas City, along with other sports and promotions.
