Ronda Rousey sends a message to major AEW star following a gruesome Blood and Guts match

A top AEW star received a heartfelt message from the former WWE Women's Champion Ronda Rousey on social media. Ronda reacted to the star competing in the Blood and Guts match this past week.

Ronda Rousey has a message for the major AEW star, Marina Shafir. Ronda and Marina have known each other since their MMA career. The two have teamed with each other on two different occasions in pro wrestling as well. Shafir competed in the first-ever women's Blood and Guts match this past Wednesday.

Marina Shafir helped her team win by making her opponent surrender. Taking to her Instagram handle recently, Marina shared the ending shot of the women's Blood and Guts match with blood on her face. She also wrote the following in the caption:

"To be continued.. #BloodAndGuts #DeathRiders"

Interestingly, Ronda took notice of Shafir's post and dropped a comment below that. Rousey sent the following heartfelt message to her close friend, Marina:

"I’m so SO proud of you!"

AEW star heaped praise on Ronda Rousey

The AEW star, Marina Shafir teamed with Ronda Rousey in 2023 on REVOLVER and Ring of Honor, respectively, and the two trained together during their MMA career as well.

Speaking on the Talk is Jericho podcast, Marina Shafir offered high praise for Rousey and called her her best friend:

"She was and is still so competitive. Just her big picture mentality was her driving force. And you knew about it and you could feel it as soon as she walked into the room. It was the most inspiring. It was just cool. Like I could call her my best friend. That was it. She didn't give a s*it. She just got the job done," Shafir said.

Only time will tell if Ronda and Shafir will ever share a wrestling ring again.
