The Rockets had a fantastic season, despite being eliminated in the first round as the number two seed.

What was Ime Udoka's contract update?
ESPN's Shams Charania reported Thursday that Houston gave a hefty contract extension to current Head Coach Ime Udoka.
This will reportedly make him "one of the highest-paid coaches in the NBA."
RealGM reported that the contract will be worth over $10 million per season.
Only a handful of current NBA coaches make an eight-figure per year salary, including Steve Kerr, Erik Spoelstra, Tyronn Lue and Doc Rivers.

All these coaches have one thing in common, and that's winning championships.
You don't get paid a salary with that high of an AAV unless you are a championship-level coach.
The Rockets seem to think that Udoka will be that coach when Houston makes the next big step to become a contender.
