It all goes down on the weekend of October 3, set amongst the dramatic landscapes of the Mojave Desert 20 miles south of Las Vegas. It started as a picturesque gathering to release biodegradable lanterns into the night sky, and it has evolved into a full-scale arts and music festival.

Seventeen different artists have committed to RiSE 2025, covering many different genres. Rüfüs Du Sol and Calvin Harris will bring the energy with their energetic electronic escapades, while Mayer will infuse some pop, rock, soul and jazz. Goose will get the people dancing with their jams, and over a dozen other acts will provide doses of EDM, indie, folk, and dance. 

Of course, for many the music is a side note. Participants have been coming for years to engage in the incredible and communal sky lantern experience, with each lantern symbolizing personal hopes, dreams, and sentimental messages. This collective act, described by the festival as "the world's largest collaborative art installation," is the true heartbeat of RiSE.

It's an immersive experience, and one meant to free festival-goers of their daily stresses and provide them with a sensory release under the calming visions of thousands of lanterns and stars. Tickets to RiSE — the 10th anniversary of the world's largest sky lantern festival — are on sale now via StubHub. It's listed among StubHub's "hottest events," which means tickets have been selling fast. 

Ticket prices for a three-day pass start at $1,110. Three-day passes for children aged 4-12 start at a little over $1,500, and only a small percentage of those tickets remain. Gold, platinum and diamond tickets run for more. 

Individual day passes have similar tiers with price increases. Friday, for instance, has a get-in price of $521 (silver level) but gold and platinum passes run for at least double that amount. Diamond-level passes go for a little over $2,100 each. 

The different kinds of tickets each provide different levels of engagement and experience, with proceeds supporting artistic initiatives. Here's a brief description of the levels:

• Diamond - Access to event grounds includes the RISE Sky Lantern Ceremony, RISE Meditation Halo, RISE Desert Clubs, RISE VIP Havens, RISE VIP Private Retreats and RISE Diamond Sanctuary.
• Platinum - Access to event grounds includes the RISE Sky Lantern Ceremony, RISE Meditation Halo, RISE Desert Clubs, RISE VIP Havens and RISE VIP Private Retreats. 
• Gold - Access to event grounds includes the Rise Sky Lantern Ceremony, RISE Meditation Halo and RISE Desert Clubs.
• Silver - Access to event grounds includes the RISE Sky Lantern Ceremony and RISE Meditation Halo.
• Child - Access to event grounds for children ages 4-12 qualify.
