Ricky Martin shared an emotional message after joining Bad Bunny during his Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show performance during the Feb. 8 faceoff between the Patriots and Seahawks.
Super Bowl 2026: Bad Bunny Brings Out Lady Gaga, Ricky Martin as Surprise Guests at Halftime
Ricky Martin is at a loss for words to describe his Super Bowl 2026 performance.
The “Livin’ la Vida Loca” singer admitted he was still processing his feelings following his surprise appearance during Bad Bunny’s star-studded Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show Feb. 8, which featured cameos from the likes of Cardi B, Alix Earle, Pedro Pascal and Jessica Alba.
Alongside a photo of himself and the “NUEVAYoL” artist sharing a hug backstage with fellow surprise guest Lady Gaga, Ricky wrote on Instagram via Spanish translation, “I need several hours to process the tsunami of emotions I'm feeling.”
During the second half of the 13-minute set, Ricky, 54, emerged to perform an acoustic version of Bad Bunny’s “Lo Que Le Pasó a Hawaii” (“What Happened to Hawaii”), a song about protecting Puerto Rican culture. The production featured several nods to the island territory—from which both musicians hail—including dancers wearing pava hats and the inclusion of the Puerto Rico flag.
As for Gaga—who headlined the halftime spectacle in 2017—she also shared a heartfelt message about joining Bad Bunny (real name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio) for a salsa rendition of her Bruno Mars duet “Die With a Smile.”
“It was my absolute honor to be a part of Benito’s halftime show,” she wrote in a post on Instagram following the performance. “Thank you Benito for inviting me and thank you to the entire cast for welcoming me onto your stage. I wouldn’t miss it for the world.”

Other previous halftime performers also offered their support online including 2015 headliner Katy Perry, who shared an encouraging message for the 31-year-old hours before the big game.
“You got this @sanbenito,” she wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “Remind the world what the real American dream looks like.”
Similarly, Jennifer Lopez—who shared headliner duties with Shakira in 2020—sent Benito “the biggest hug in the world” before he hit the stage while alluding to his guest appearance during her set.
“I’m here with you the same way you were there for me,” she said in an X post translated from Spanish. “So proud to be Boricua! Dale fuerte Benito. The way only you can do it!”
