Denise Richards’ former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” co-stars expressed concern after her estranged husband, Aaron Phypers, threatened to “crush [her] f–king hand” on camera.
The moment took place during Season 10 of the Bravo reality show, which Andy Cohen made sure to bring up during the subsequent reunion.
“Ladies, what was your reaction when you saw that?” he asked the group during the virtual reunion, which aired in September 2020.
After a brief awkward silence, Sutton Stracke spoke up. “Zero tolerance,” she said sternly. “Zero. Unacceptable.”
Garcelle Beauvais, for her part, noted that she “didn’t hear it on the show” but later “saw it on social media.”
“That’s when I was like, “‘Oh, my God.’ And I was, you know, I was worried,” she recalled as Lisa Rinna and Teddi Mellencamp quietly shook their heads in agreement.
When Cohen asked Richards about the comment, she claimed she didn’t “know” Phypers had said that to her until she watched the scene back.
“I played it for him, and he said, ‘I don’t even remember saying that. I don’t know why I would say that because I’m afraid of you,'” she explained.
When Cohen, 57, asked why Phypers would be afraid of her, Richards, 54, insisted she meant that “in a joking way.”
Last week, Phypers, 49, filed for divorce from Richards after nearly seven years of marriage, with a source claiming their relationship was “very toxic” because “all they were doing was fighting.”

Richards was reportedly “devastated and relieved” by the filing, as the source said she’s “mentally exhausted from the fighting” and “glad that’s over.”
While Richards has yet to respond to the divorce petition, she did file for a temporary restraining order this week, claiming Phypers was physically abusive toward her while they were together.
“Throughout our relationship, Aaron would frequently violently choke me, violently squeeze my head with both hands, tightly squeeze my arms, violently slap me in my face and head, [and] aggressively slam my head into the bathroom towel rack,” she alleged in her filing, claiming that he even threatened to kill her and himself if she ever reported him to the authorities.
Attached to the TRO request, which was granted, was a photo of Richards with a black eye, which she alleged Phypers gave her during a fight at his since-closed medical clinic in January 2022.
But according to a source close to Phypers, Richards obtained the black eye after drunkenly falling on the stairs at his office.
Phypers himself has also vehemently denied the “completely false and deeply hurtful” accusations, insisting, “I have never physically or emotionally abused Denise — or anyone.”
