Reza Farahan Savagely Doubles Down On Claim That Kyle Richards Is The Most Overrated Housewife: “If It Were Anyone Else, They Would Have To Be Talking About Their Lesbian Lover”

Reza Farahan is doubling down on his belief that Real Housewives of Beverly Hills veteran Kyle Richards is the “most overrated” Bravolebrity on the network.

The Valley: Persian Style star first threw shade at BravoCon 2025 when, during a taping of BravoCon Live with Andy Cohen, he slammed Richards as “the most overrated Housewife of all time,” with her co-star and good friend Erika Jayne sitting mere feet away. During the following commercial break, DECIDER captured a video of Farahan approaching Jayne to “apologize” if he put her “in an uncomfortable position,” but, as the Shahs of Sunset alum told us when he stopped by our studio earlier this month, he has no regrets about sharing his opinion.

“It’s how I feel,” Farahan said. “I feel like on every other franchise, on every other Bravo show, if you’re in a relationship, you have to talk about your relationship. And she gets to skate.”

Farahan was, of course, referring to Richards staying mostly tight-lipped about her relationship status following her separation from Mauricio Umansky. While the world speculated for years about a rumored fling between her and country music singer Morgan Wade—they only fueled rumors by starring as lovers in one of Wade’s music videos and getting matching tattoos—it wasn’t until a recent episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (one that aired after BravoCon) that Richards vaguely confirmed their past romance. The longtime reality star didn’t use names (or pronouns), but she did share that she was in a relationship after her split from Umansky, and that she never spoke on it before as the other party wanted to keep things private.

“It’s not that I have an issue with Kyle. I think she’s a great person,” Farahan said. “I don’t have any issues with her, but it’s my honest opinion that she is very overrated, that if it were anyone else, they would have to be talking about their lesbian lover or alleged lover or whatever was going on. You’re getting tattoos, you’re doing a music video, you’re buying a house in Tennessee. What is the tea? Let us know.”

Farahan shared that, despite his views, he still said hi to Richards at BravoCon — and while she went on to accuse him of being “nice” to her face, but “throwing her under the bus” behind her back, he didn’t think that’s what he was doing.

“It’s just my honest, humble opinion,” he said. “I think she’s an amazing person. I love Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but if you take all the Housewives, I think that a lot of them are much more open and honest about what’s going on in their lives than she is.”

The Valley: Persian Style airs Thursday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
