The New York Jets have ruled Garrett Wilson out of the Thursday night game against divisional rival, the New England Patriots. The wide receiver joins cornerback Azareye’h Thomas as the two Jets players who haven't traveled with the team for the Week 11 encounter.
Wilson returned to action in Week 10 against the Cleveland Browns after missing two games with a knee injury, only to depart the game in the third quarter. He’s been one of the bright spots in the Jets’ struggling offense this season, recording 36 receptions for 395 yards and four touchdowns.
Garrett Wilson did not participate in the team's practice this week after the injury against the Browns, creating doubts about his availability. This immediately raised concerns about the health of the wide receiver, with a report from ESPN’s Rich Cimini ruling him out of action for several weeks.

Aaron Glenn refuses to answer questions on Garrett Wilson's injury
New York Jets coach Aaron Glenn wasn't open to answering any questions on the injury of Garrett Wilson in his media availability on Tuesday. This came after Rich Cimini’s report, ruling the wide receiver out of action for several weeks.
“I’m going to pass on talking about injuries, since Rich [Cimini, ESPN’s Jets reporter] — oh, he’s not here — has all the answers,” Glenn said. “So, you guys can get all the injuries from Rich.’’A reporter questioned Glenn on the possibility of Wilson being placed on injury reserve, but the coach once again directed them to Cimini. Another reporter pushed further, telling Glenn the group wants an update from him. The coach had a witty response before walking off the podium.
“You guys have been hearing it from me, but now since we’re just reporting stuff that I haven’t said, maybe you should just ask him,” Glenn said.It was clear from his body language that Aaron Glenn was upset that Garrett Wilson’s injury timeline had been leaked by Rich Cimini. It remains to be seen how accurate the report from the ESPN insider is.
