Report: Heat's Andrew Wiggins linked to Bucks in recent trade rumors

1 hour ago 2

Amid a large list of trade rumors, the Milwaukee Bucks seem as desperate as any while still trying to convince Giannis Antetokounmpo to stay with the franchise.

Sitting at 17-24 and two games out of a play-in bid, a sense of panic is starting to set in. There's still over half of the regular season to go, but for Milwaukee to sneak into playoff contention, some momentum needs to pick up.

That's why making a trade almost seems like the most plausible action, and the Bucks have linked themselves to multiple players throughout the league.

Bucks are connected to Heat's Andrew Wiggins, among others, in trade talks

Players from the Memphis Grizzlies' Ja Morant, to the Sacramento Kings' Zach LaVine and Malik Monk, have been linked to the Bucks.

To go with this, Miami Heat forward Andrew Wiggins is also in the mix as well, according to Sam Amico of Hoops Wire.

Wiggins, 30, was traded from the Golden State Warriors to the Miami Heat during last year's NBA trade deadline.

Injuries and personal reasons led to the All-Star forward missing 22 games for both the Heat and Warriors last season, but he's come back healthier in 2025-26.

Through 37 games this season, Wiggins is averaging 15.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.8 assists, while contributing 1.1 blocks and 1.2 steals per game on the defensive end. He's still the dominant defensive player that he's always been, but a deep Heat roster has led to his scoring numbers taking a small hit.

As it currently stands, Wiggins to the Bucks is just a rumor. If Milwaukee is serious about getting the elite defensive wing, clearing up some cap space would be the ideal move to make.

As it stands, the Bucks have $17.15 million in cap space before hitting the first apron, and Wiggins' contract has him earning $28.2 million in 2025-26, according to Spotrac.

This shows that including players from the Bucks in a deal for Wiggins would be the most likely outcome if a deal were to happen.
