There are many reasons for Boston Red Sox fans to be excited about prospect Jhostynxon Garcia, who currently plays for Triple-A Worcester.
His name, and accompanying nickname, certainly qualify.
But the man known as "The Password" can also play ball.
And on Friday night, he made an absolutely absurd throw from centerfield to home plate.
This toss doesn't get the runner if it's even just a few inches off target, but instead, Garcia's cannon was right on the money.
— Worcester Red Sox (@WooSox) June 21, 2025The 22-year old Garcia, listed at 6-feet tall and 163 pounds, can also rake from the right side of the plate.
This season so far, he's batting .278 with nine homers, 31 RBI, four steals and an OPS of .824.
He actually got off to a bumpier start at Double-A but earned a call-up anyway.
Now at Triple-A, Garcia is batting .303 with six of his home runs in just 25 games.
The Red Sox have a crowded outfield, so Garcia will likely have to wait around for a while before he makes what will be an exciting debut sometime down the road.
But when he arrives, count on some specially marketed stuff just for "The Password." He's one of the most exciting Boston prospects in a while, for multiple reasons.
Hopefully he's suiting up in Fenway Park soon enough. He'd be beloved from the moment he steps on the diamond.
