Red Sox impressed $600 million dollar superstar with very productive 3-hour meeting

The Boston Red Sox finished their first meeting with the hottest free agent on the market, Juan Soto, and it was very productive, per Sean McAdam. The meeting lasted three hours, and Soto was very impressed by the Sox’s presentation.

“Soto was said to be impressed by the Red Sox’ presentation, which included a video taking note of the franchise’s history of star players from the Dominican Republic, Soto’s native country. The Red Sox laid out their plans for the future and highlighted the crop of soon-to-be-arriving top prospects while giving a detailed outline of ownership and Fenway Sports Group”.

So like insiders guessed, the Sox did play the Dominican card. All Soto wanted to know in return was how committed the team was to winning, and wanted to see the Sox’s player analytics and Fenway’s facilities.

Soto's question about winning may have been partially addressed during the presentation, as the Sox outlined their future plans and showcased top prospects poised to make their debut in The Show this upcoming season.

No contract ideas were thrown out, since this was hopefully the first meeting of many. Soto is probably looking for a 10-year, $500+ million dollar contract, maybe even one similar to Shohei Ohtani’s. However, the Sox have the money, so they definitely should go for him. Maybe, even take the Ohtani route, and defer most of the money.
