It took long enough, but it appears the Boston Red Sox are now making the right move.
The big news comes from MassLive's Chris Cotillo, who wrote this Monday on X: "It’s possible Roman Anthony joins the Red Sox today, I’m told."
Anthony, an outfielder and the No. 1 prospect in all of baseball, has spent the whole season at Triple-A Worcester.
He's been raking all year, and he just hit a 497-foot grand slam over the weekend. It's clear that Anthony has been ready.
The Red Sox have indicated that they don't necessarily have room for him in an established outfield.
But Boston has also reached the point in its season where, if it wants to contend, it needs the best players in its organization on the MLB field and not hanging out in Triple-A.

Red Sox fans have been clamoring for this call-up for months.
Boston hosts Tampa Bay on Monday night, and Anthony's debut appears imminent. He has batted .288 with 10 home runs and a .913 OPS at Triple-A this season.
If this report is right, Anthony should be in the Red Sox lineup for the next decade and never have to worry about Triple-A ever again.
