Boston Red Sox third baseman Rafael Devers has been one of baseball's best since debuting with the club in 2017, and through injuries in 2024, he still hit .272 with an .871 OPS, 28 home runs, 83 RBIs and three stolen bases while earning All-Star honors for the third time in his career.
Entering 2025, Devers is expected to be fully healthy for Spring Training and is once again being considered a top player at his position.
This month, MLB Network has been ranking the top 10 players at each spot, and Devers was named the second-best third baseman in the sport behind only Cleveland's Jose Ramirez.

Devers was ranked fourth last year behind Ramirez, Atlanta's Austin Riley and San Diego's Manny Machado. Now, this year, he's ahead of free agent Alex Bregman, Machado, Riley, San Francisco's Matt Chapman, St. Louis' Nolan Arenado, Los Angeles' Max Muncy, Houston's Issac Paredes and Arizona's Eugino Suarez, who rounded out the top 10.
With rumors of a position change coming for Devers in the near future, this may be his last opportunity to be ranked at third base.
