Alonso wants to find the perfect partner to go with Aurelien Tchouamani in a double pivot in midfield.

Gravenberch has been key for Arne Slot's Liverpool, with the midfielder having two goals and an assist in the campaign so far. 

The Dutch international fits Alonso's preferred midfield profile, with his offensive and defensive prowess. 

Real have also been linked with Ibrahima Konate as their next central defender, with his contract expiring in the summer. 

Konate looks likely to leave Liverpool in the summer, with Real reportedly his favored destination. 

Alonso's side could be much changed next season, with the club already making big changes in the Spaniard's first season in charge.
