The Baltimore Ravens are in trouble. Lamar Jackson is likely out for the rest of the regular season, and Tyler Huntley is as well. They're reportedly trading for Jacoby Brissett, but that might not be enough to salvage the season.
With this major quarterback problem, it would not be a surprise if the Ravens adjusted their trade deadline plans. They have made some changes, but it's not exactly how some might've expected after losing QB1 and QB2 for the season in the same game.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Ravens are not planning to sell at this year's trade deadline. Despite their playoff hopes being all but gone, the Ravens are not going to sell, which could wind up being a huge mistake.
Ravens could be making a big mistake with plans not to sell at NFL trade deadline
"I don't see the Ravens in sell mode," Rapoport said. "The reason why I say that is the Jacoby Brissett trade is going to be official this morning; he is going to be their starting quarterback when they take the field Monday against the Los Angeles Chargers... So no, I do not believe the Ravens are in sell mode. I don't think they're in buy mode either."
From @GMFB: Could the #Ravens be sellers at the trade deadline (no); Plus, the #Vikings will start Carson Wentz on MNF. https://t.co/VAKpk6SThK
— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) November 6, 2026The Ravens are swinging a trade for Brissett as a temporary resolution to their quarterback problem, but it's hard to believe this team will have much of a chance to win anything this season.
Instead, the Ravens should look to trade away players at this year's trade deadline. Losing Jackson and Huntley for the season is a very strong indicator that their season is over.
Sure, Brissett might help the Ravens to a win or two throughout the rest of the season. But it's really hard to imagine that this team will be good enough to win anything, especially after how defeated they looked on Thursday Night Football in Week 9.

The Ravens are now 4-5 on the season, and firmly in last place in the AFC North. Brissett would have to play extremely well for this Ravens team to have any chance of making the playoffs.
But even if they did make it there, it's hard to imagine Brissett leading this team on any sort of playoff run. So, with that in mind, the Ravens should really look to sell.
They don't have to trade someone like Derrick Henry, as he's in their long-term plans. But players on expiring contracts or veterans who have shaky futures with the team should be readily available.
Rashod Bateman, Marlon Humphrey, Chidobe Awuzie, Calais Campbell, Justice Hill, and even someone like Mark Andrews should be available for trade.
This season is likely a wash, so the Ravens should be selling. Instead, this plan reported by Rapoport indicates the Ravens plan to stand pat at the deadline and try to make a playoff run this season.
