Ravens 'got to get mojo back' says coach

3 hours ago 2

The Baltimore Ravens sit at 1-5 on their bye week, with a lot of soul-searching happening for John Harbaugh's team.

The 17-3 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, although not ideal, marked a positive note for the Ravens, as they showed signs of improvement both defensively and in the run game, with Derrick Henry rushing for 122 yards on 24 carries. However, such performances have been few and far between for Baltimore in 2025.

There was a five-week stretch where Henry didn't rush for more than 50 yards in a game as the offense stuttered and couldn't get much going in the run game, until the Rams contest.

For offensive coordinator Todd Monken, the formula is simple, and he thinks the tide started to turn against L.A.

“We just got to get our mojo back a little bit,” Monken said. “I think there was a part of that [vs. the Rams]. I know it doesn't feel like it because three points is not enough. I mean, I'm not here to say that, hey, boy, that was great. We didn't execute at certain times that would have given us an opportunity to win the game."

Ravens better get mojo back soon

Monken said a little bit of Baltimore's mojo was back against the Rams, but the team will need far more going forward, and that will be helped by the return of Lamar Jackson.

The run game in particular has struggled, so the need to get that up and running as it was against the Rams is crucial to Baltimore's success. It just has to cut down on the self-inflicted wounds, because the Ravens were in with a shot to win that game.

Six turnovers in two games isn't going to win you many football games, so that is one thing that has to be cut out, plus get the run game rolling with Henry and Lamar, and who knows, maybe Baltimore's mojo will come roaring back in time for a playoff run.
